Plant Anyway

There’s a moment every season where the garden doesn’t look the way you imagined it would.
Not neat.
Not orderly.
Not finished.
Sometimes it looks like too much.
Sometimes it looks like a mess.
I stepped outside recently thinking I had everything together — that I had cleaned, prepared, set things in place. But the garden had other ideas.
Things had shifted.
Grown wild.
Spilled over.
Returned in ways I didn’t plan.
And for a moment, I paused.
Not out of frustration — but recognition.
Because this is the truth the garden keeps teaching me:
It doesn’t wait for perfection.
It doesn’t ask if you’re ready.
It doesn’t need everything to be in order before something begins.
So instead of starting over…
instead of trying to control it…
I decided to work with what it became.
More soil.
More compost.
More intention.
Same hands.
Different understanding.
This is what Weirdquarius is, too.
Not a fixed idea.
Not a perfect system.
But something living.
Something that shifts, expands, surprises.
From seed to suds,
from root to rhyme…
It was never meant to be controlled.
Only tended.
So if you’ve been waiting—
for the right moment,
for the right setup,
for things to feel “ready”…
Plant anyway.
Even if it’s messy.
Even if it’s small.
Even if it’s not what you pictured.
There’s something sacred in starting where you are.
And something even more powerful in staying.
I’m still learning that.
Still growing that.
Still becoming that.
And maybe you are too.
